Pilgrim Era Grease Lamp   

Grease, fat lamp dating from 1680-1740 Pilgrim era.
Also called a Pendant lamp.
Once filled with animal fat with a floating wick, it is one of the earliest forms of lighting to be found. Pan is 4 ¾" diameter and 1" deep with forged 6 ¾" hanging hook.
Great addition to any early lighting collection.
